Serve these fun little bite-sized appetizers at your next party!
Place panko breadcrumbs in dry sauté pan over medium heat, stirring so they do not burn. Remove from heat when they have turned light brown and allow to cool. In a small sauté pan, heat crumbled sausage for 3 minutes over medium heat until lightly browned. Allow sausage crumbles to cool slightly. In a mixing bowl, add whipped cream cheese, roasted red peppers, agave nectar, chopped parsley, pinch of sea salt, and whisk together. Adjust seasoning to taste. Spoon into phyllo cups, sprinkle with toasted panko, smoked paprika, and baby herbs sprigs.
Variation
- Instead of phyllo cup – use a Belgian endive spear. Try spooning or a pastry bag with no tip. Place at wide end of leaf. Garnish
- Tear Bibb lettuce into a small cup and place a dollop of mixture in center and garnish.
